Skirmish is the 6v6 game mode used in BNL tournaments. Teams fight for lives, morale and control of three flags.
01
Each side fields six players. At any moment, a team can have at most two cavalry and two archers alive on the field.
Players receive gold to buy 2 or more lives for the round. When the opposing team has no lives remaining, you win the round.
Teams begin with five morale stars. Control more active flags than the opponent to gain morale while they lose it. Reach ten stars to win the round; a team that runs out of morale loses.
A round starts with three capturable flags: A, B and C. After a few minutes, two disappear and only the final flag remains capturable.
02
The final flag depends on who controls A, B and C when the flags close. In the diagrams, green is your team, red is the enemy and grey is neutral.
| Flag control | What happens |
|---|---|
ABC | B is the final flag. |
ABC | The enemy can force A or B. If they do not, the final flag is random: A or B. |
ABC | The enemy can force any flag. If they do not, the final flag is random. |

“Force” means capture the flag your team wants before the other flags close. If neither side forces a result, the final flag is chosen randomly from the options shown.
03
01
One Skirmish round, won by eliminating the enemy’s lives or morale.
02
A set is a best of five: the first team to win three rounds takes it.
03
Each map contains two sets.
04
A match contains two maps: four BO5 sets in total.
Each BO5 set can last up to five rounds. A map has two sets, and the full match has two maps, for a maximum of four BO5 sets.
